Akeeloe

Akeeloe joined us in 2018 and orchestrates the daily operations of the dental office to ensure satisfied patients, staff, and doctors. She interacts with patients on a daily basis, handling from start to finish any concerns that they may have. There’s always a solution – and she helps find the one that meets your needs.

Akeeloe and her husband have three beautiful children. She enjoys the outdoors, including long walks and sitting on her porch to watch nature. As a working mother, evenings and weekends with her family are most precious.

Diana

Shelly

Shelly provides patient care from your initial office appointment through treatment and ongoing maintenance care. She also assists with X-rays, teeth cleanings, and periodontal (gum) care.

Shelly is married and has three adult children. She enjoys time with family, entertaining guests, yard work, reading, cooking, sewing, and quilting. Shelly and her family have participated in dental mission trips to Nicaragua since 2003.

Shin

Shin is a Master Dental Ceramist with over 20 years of extensive experience specializing in advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He holds a Master Dental Technologist (MDT) certification from NYU, completed advanced ceramic training at the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry, and also holds an MBA. With elite technical artistry, Shin focuses on achieving functional precision and perfect custom shade-matching through expert e.max and zirconia porcelain layering. Outside of the lab, he loves staying active, watching sports, and spending quality time with his family.

John

John provides fabrication for your dental appliances, including crowns, bridges, dentures, retainers, nightguards, and implants. He has worked with Smiles International since 1985.

John is married and has two children and one grandchild. He enjoys watching football, playing basketball, watching cooking shows, working on his car, and spending time with his family and granddaughter.

Olga

Olga has been a dental assistant since 1996. She was born and raised in Russia before becoming a US citizen in 1994. Olga received dental assistant certification from NOVA, has x-ray certification, and licensed as extended duty dental assistant. She prepares you for your dental and surgical procedures, assists your dentist, takes X-rays, creates temporary crowns, and provides you with patient education.

Olga is married and has a son and a family dog named Ribs. She enjoys cooking, long walks on the beach, and exercise.

Taka

Taka studied and received training as a dental hygienist at Okinawa Dental Hygiene School in Japan before moving to Virginia. She joined the Smiles International in 2005. prepares you for your dental and surgical procedures, assists your dentist, takes X-rays, creates temporary crowns, and provides you with patient education.

Jacorien

Born and raised in beautiful Namibia, where Jacorien met her husband, she got married and is now living in Alexandria. Jacorien enjoys, music, hikes and being outdoors.
